Since ancient times the Rudram has been used in daily worship in India. It is said that chanting it destroys all sins, removes obstacles, calamities, and afflictions, takes away the fear of death and bestows purification of mind, prosperity, joy, and the bliss of liberation. It comes from the Krishna Yajur Veda, a potent hymn to God. Also includes Shiva Arati.
